Ray Parihar: A person should never forget where they came from and what TV gave them

Actor Ray Parihar, who plays the role of Farhaan in Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s show Rabb Se Hai Dua, says that he loves the character. He adds that while being part of a daily show is difficult, it’s all worth it in the end.

“It seemed like a very challenging character that caught my eye; it wasn’t easy, but I’m passionate about my work, so I took it as a blessing. When you have responsibilities, holidays don’t matter much; it’s fine to get minimal days off,” he says.

He adds, “I love working, whether it’s day or night, as long as it’s interesting and doesn’t take too many hours. Plus, I find night shoots more enjoyable.”

A daily soap means a daily grind and with summers in, it is physically exhausting too, he says, adding, “I drink plenty of fluids and take good care of myself between meals. Also, I’m already used to summers and exhausting work, having done farming work all day in Jammu (Kishtwar).”

He adds, “There’s no work without hardships nowadays; every part of it has two ways: do or die. So, according to me, a person only values their work when it’s hard to get, and, if one has chosen this profession, they must have thought it through.”

Meanwhile, he adds that he has no qualms in being called a TV actor. “If I want to be an actor, I’d love to be one, whether on the big screen, OTT, or TV. It doesn’t matter what the platform is; what matters is your work. A person should never forget where they came from and what TV gave them. I try to stick to my roots no matter what.”

He adds, “TV is great to work with. You get to work daily, which makes growth happen every day. Plus, the camera is an actor’s best friend, always around. What’s bigger than that?”

Meanwhile, he loves working with Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah, “It’s been very comfortable working with them. The way my character has been defined in the show, with dialogues, direction, and everything, is top-notch for me. I couldn’t have asked for better seniors, and the best part is how they treat their actors, whether it’s a one-day actor or a continuity actor – they’re the same for all. Treating everyone with the best behaviour. I’m extremely grateful for working with Prateek Sharma, Parth Shah Sir, and the team.”
