My mom and sister are my best friends: Jahnavi Soni

On the occasion of International Friendship Day, which will be celebrated on August 4, Jahnavi Soni, who is seen as Chunnari in Ravindra Gautam and Raghuvir Shekhawat’s Dahej Daasi, which is produced under their banner Do Dooni 4 Films, says her mother and her sister are her best friends. She said, “They’re always there for me, no matter what. I’m grateful for their love and support.”

“Friendship is very special to me. I’ve cherished it since childhood. I love making friends and creating a friendly environment, both on and off screen. It makes me feel happy and supported,” she added.

Asked for the qualities she values the most in her best friend, she said, “My best friend has all the amazing qualities I look for—they’re real, approachable, understanding, and always speak the truth. They motivate and encourage me, and they bless me with their kindness.”

While her show keeps her busy, Jahnavi tries her best to stay in touch with her friends, but sometimes she fails. She added, “I know I need to manage my friendships better, make time for them, and nurture our relationships.”

As far as friends on the set go, she has made good friends with Sukoon Arora, who plays the character of Anusha, and Pooja Sahu, who plays Mandira Chachi. “We share a special bond, and I value our friendship deeply,” she said.

“My on-screen friendships in Dahej Daasi are different from my real-life friendships. Chunnari’s friends are from a rural background, while my friends are from the city. But, like Chunnari, I value loyalty and trust in my friendships,” she added.

How has friendship contributed to your personal and professional growth? “My friends support me, encourage me to take risks, and help me stay focused. They’ve made me a better person and a more empathetic actor. I’m grateful for their presence in my life,” Jahnavi ended.
